The Peter Benoit Foundation was founded in 1902 and has the task to obtain and promote the legacy of Peter Benoit and other Flemish composers. The Foundation also supports contemporary composers from Flanders through programming and promotion of their work. The visual identity takes on the task to express the unique personality of the Peter Benoit Foundation. The aim is to link the cultural past to the present. The style is complementary to the historical character and illustrates that historical can also be up-to-date. The logo of the Peter Benoit Foundation has a classic and elegant appearance and is always accompanied with customized letters which ensure a contemporary look.

Peter Benoit was born in Harlebeke on the 17th August 1834 and died in Antwerp on the 8th March 1901. He is without doubt the most important Flemish composer of the nineteenth century, responsible for the foundation of the Flemish national school of music.
